Together with our joint venture partner Amand, we develop a new residential district for approx. 3,000 inhabitants in southern Cologne. Through the extension of the north-south urban railway, Rondorf gets a good connection to the city center of Cologne. The development concept envisages a mix of detached houses and multistory buildings. 30 percent of residential units are to be planned for publicly funded housing. A spacious parkway, a square with amenities for local supply, a crèche, different primary schools and a secondary school complete the offering.
Husarenstrasse/Weissdornweg, 50997 Cologne
Approx. 360,000 m² of gross development area
Approx. 235,000 m² of designated building land
Expectations of the village community of Rondorf were taken into account at an early stage within public participation.
This enables an integrated urban development in southern Cologne with residential uses, local supplies as well as schools and a crèche.
Improvement of transport infrastructure: the thoroughfare in Rondorf will be relieved by a ring road and the urban railway improves the local public transport network.
Detached houses as well as privately financed and publicly subsidized multistory buildings will be developed.
Ongoing development plan procedure, planning law expected for 2020
Measures to provide local infrastructure will beginn in 2020/21
Project will be marketed in different construction phases
The development area is located in southern Cologne in the district of Rodenkirchen. There is an excellent connection to motorway A4.routing
